2025 Grand Finals

Rugby League Mackay & District had three massive days of Grand Final footy across two weekends!

With our competitive Junior Girls Grand Finals as well as the Plate Finals played on Friday the 29th of August at BB Print Stadium and the RLMD Grounds, Field 5.

Our McDonalds U14 Girls Sarina vs Souths started off the night at 4:30pm, BB Print Stadium as well as the Plate Final Wests vs Wanderers on Field 5. Sarina took home the Premiership with a score of 34-8 and Wests won the Plate 18-4.

This was followed by our Mackay Toyota U13 Boys Plate Final Brothers Blue vs Magpies at 5:45pm, Field 5 and our McDonalds U16 Girls Moranbah vs Sarina at 5:50pm, BB Print Stadium. It was a close match for both sides with Sarina taking home the Premiership with a score of 4-6. Brothers Blue won the Plate with a score of 26-10.

To conclude the night, our Gardian Group U14 Boys Plate Final Moranbah vs Wests at 7:00pm, BB Print Stadium and our McDonalds U18 Girls Souths vs Norths played at 7:10pm, Field 5. Souths were able to take the Premiership home with a score of 22-4 and Wests won the Plate 6-14.

The competitive Junior Boys Grand Final was played the very next day, Saturday the 30th of August at BB Print Stadium.

At 8:30am, our Mackay Toyota U13 Boys Wanderers vs Magpies Black. The game was close with Wanderers taking home the Premiership with a score of 24-22.

Our Gardian Group U14 Boys Wanderers vs Sarina followed at 10:00am. Wanderers were able to take the Premiership home with a score of 44-8.

At 11:30am, our D&F Earthmoving U15 Boys Souths vs Brothers kicked off. It was a tough game with Brothers taking home the Premiership with a score of 16-22.

1:00pm saw our Mickala Group U16 Boys Wanderers vs Wests take the field. A game that went try to try, Wests was able to pull it off and take the Premiership home with a score of 12-16.

The day concluded with our Baltic Electrical U17 Boys Wanderers vs Magpies at 2:30pm. The game saw Wanderers take the Premiership home with a score of 26-14.

The following Saturday the 6th of September saw our Senior competitions at BB Print Stadium.

Starting off with a high tension match at 12pm saw our R8D Industries U20s Brothers vs Wests. Both teams fought hard every step of the way with Brothers taking the Premiership with a score of 32-24.

Our McDonalds A Grade Women Moranbah vs Brothers took the field at 2pm. Brothers took the Premiership home with a score of 14-42.

4pm saw our Fergus Builders Reserve Grade Brothers vs Moranbah kick off. Moranbah took home the Premiership with a score of 6-40.

The last match of the 2025 season saw the NQBE A Grade Men Souths vs Brothers run out. With Souths coming out to take the Premiership with a score of 24-6.
